Ta regularly speaks about outdoor recreation as a rural economic driver through her day job as Founder and CEO of the PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship. These include keynotes, awards dinners, panel discussions, updates to legislators, research interviews, and presentations to numerous groups at the local, regional, state and national level, partnering with organizations such as the PA Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources, Appalachian Regional Commission, The Conservation Fund, Aspen Institute Community Strategies Group, Outdoor Recreation Roundtable, Center for Rural Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Environmental Council, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, and the PA Department of Community and Economic Development. Sometimes she gets to talk about writing, too!

Life Above Route 80– Ta still gets choked up watching this 3-minute video about the Pennsylvania Wilds, which was made by the nonprofit West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund as part of its ‘Quiet Ones’ video series showcasing change makers they’ve partnered with. Ta is grateful to have shared the stage with Lisa Bainey on this project. Lisa was a huge PA Wilds champion and dear friend who passed away from cancer in 2021.

The Wilds Are Working: PA Outdoor Corps- Being on screen isn’t Ta’s favorite thing to do, but she is always happy to help promote kids in the outdoors! This awesome program introduces youth to conservation and forestry career paths by paying them to work on public lands projects in the rural PA Wilds.

Unapologetically Authentic Episode 11: The Force of Nature: Ta is a wife, mom, sister and friend with an entrepreneurial background and 20 years experience in journalism and public communications in Alaska and in Pennsylvania. She is also the author of the upcoming memoir about experiences leading the PA Wilds. Ta shares how she has built a nonprofit and raised a family in the midst of writing a book.
